Testimonials
First let me explain that my mother is 98 years old; and until May 2021 was living in a memory care unit. There she broke a leg (that required surgery to attach a rod) and the covid19 virus. She has been a patient of Compassionate Hospice for over a year. I am her 3rd daughter from New Mexico. I came to live with my mother at Sunny Acres Independent Living cottages nearly six months ago. Compassionate Hospice has been my Gift and Blessing. I know that without their help and care my mom would not be with us today. Cindi is our RN and with her constant care and direction we have been successful in getting Mom healthy and happy once again. Mom is often engaged and participatory because she feels well most of the time. True, she has her bouts of infection, behavioral incidents and general malaise from time to time, but Cindi gets right on it. Mom’s falls and occasional medical incidents often happen at night. Jolene is our night RN, and we call her without worry. She and Lisa (formerly), always make me feel good about ‘bothering’ after hours. Mostly because she does not hesitate to calm my worries and put me at ease about Mom’s issue. She immediately proposes a site-visit and is willing to go beyond the necessities to relieve the problem at hand. Chaplain Bob has been a Gift and a Blessing in every way. He brought laughter into our home and has continued to bring warmth and Peace, and welcome company when we are in most need of it. Often, he has surprised us with a story or a game. We are in the best of spirits when he is here. I cannot say enough about how he has made us feel friendship and Love. We are forever in his debt. The whole reason for writing this letter is to commend you on your CNA Ashlynn. Ashlynn has been with Mom for a very long time. In fact, I believe that my mother is one of Ashlynn’s very first patients. She has shown herself to be skillful in the field of patient care. She has developed a strong relationship with Mom; and Mom looks forward to her visit. (Mind, Mom does not remember me most of the time, but is always happy to see Ashlynn.) She is efficient, organized and very considerate. I cannot imagine trying to care for Mom without Ashlynn’s help. She has made this time, as difficult as it has been, tolerable, and even, pleasant. She really is, from my perspective, your shining star. Everyone I have engaged with from Compassionate Hospice has been kind and warm and friendly toward both my mother and me. I would like to express my appreciation and gratitude for always having my back! It seems that no matter how incompetent I may feel at times, hospice lets me know that I am a valuable part of the team. And all for the sake of my mother, who is, at this time in her life, the most fragile and vulnerable she has ever been. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

Statement: I wish to give testimony for Compassionate Hospice Care. My husband was diagnosed with Stage 4 prostate cancer in July of 2017. The next few years were a medical struggle. In November 2017, he was admitted to a hospice. We were unsatisfied with their care. Toward the end we found Compassionate Care and asked them for their help. They were wonderful. We wished we had been with them to begin with. They gave us a booklet “Gone From My Sight”. It so prepared us for the end of life. Cindi and team were there to accommodate our needs (ie a hospital bed), available at all hours, and most of all for their loving care.

Statement: Just wanted to give a shout out to the hospice team that takes care of my mum.
The day we knew we needed help with my mum, who has dementia, was a tough day. We tried another company and while the one girl was good, I could never get the team on the same page or get coordination with anyone. I called and spoke with Taalena who started the process in the right direction. She was attentive to our needs and questions. I knew right away we were going to be in good hands.
With Compassionate, I feel cared for and I feel my mum is someone they care about not just a number. Ashlynn & Adrianna are amazing young ladies with the ability to care and share their knowledge where it aides the most. The RN Jill is fabulous taking care to note the small things that may not be picked up by other companies. While listening to what is reported and acting to alleviate what they can with suggestions for care and mobility.
We were very fortunate to have them come into our lives when all hope seemed lost. We now know that mum is cared for, even when I am not there.
Thank you for all your caring and guidance.
