SCOPE OF POSITION: Applies specialized psychiatric nursing knowledge in assessment, diagnosis and treatment of patients with behavioral health concerns. Assists Lead Behavioral Health RN in building and sustaining behavioral health program for patients receiving care in their homes or assisted living facilities. Functions under the direction of the Director of nursing.
QUALIFICATIONS: Graduate of an approved school of nursing whose program is accredited by the National League for Nursing. Must be currently licensed (in good standing) in State(s) of nursing practice. Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, in Psychiatric Inpatient, Outpatient or Home Care treatment setting Public Health Nurse preferred. Documentation of good physical and emotional health. Must meet educational/experience requirements outlined in the laws of licensure states.

Home Health Care seeking RN Case Managers and Licensed Practical Nurses who enjoy working with the Senior Population in Assisted Living Facilities and in the community. Job Purpose: The hospice aide is a paraprofessional member of the interdisciplinary group who works under the supervision of a registered nurse and performs various services for a patient as necessary to meet the patient's personal needs and to promote comfort. The hospice aide is responsible for observing the patient, reporting these observations and documenting observations and care performed. The hospice aide will be assigned in a manner that promotes quality, continuity and safety of a patient's care.

Certified Nursing Assistant Job Duties:
Responsibilities of the hospice aide include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Giving personal care including baths, oral hygiene, shampoos and changing bed linen as often as assigned. Assisting in dressing and undressing patients as assigned. Assisting in feeding the patient as assigned. Providing proper care and observation of patient's skin to prevent breakdown of tissue over bony prominence. Assisting in ambulation as instructed by the hospice nurse. Offering and assisting with bedpans and urinals.
- CNA certification Minimum 1 year Hospice experience preferred Valid driver’s license Reliable car/auto insurance At least 18 years of age. Possess and maintains current CPR certification. Clean background and criminal record
